What We Do
-
As the chief architect of China State Grid's smart grid project, the "Energy Internet Digital Twin Platform" we built in 2023 has attracted great attention from global peers. The platform integrates data from the three networks of electricity, transportation, and energy, and optimizes energy consumption throughout the city in the pilot, reducing carbon emissions by 12,000 tons in a single quarter. Its independently developed "quantum encryption power communication system" has improved the security of power transmission data transmission to military-grade standards.
-
More noteworthy is the "Photovoltaic Cloud Brain" system, which uses AI algorithms to increase the efficiency of distributed photovoltaic power generation by 18%-25%. In the photovoltaic project in Qinghai, China, the 500MW power station managed by the system set an industry record of 230 million kWh of power generation per day. According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, its overall smart grid solution has helped China reduce grid investment by more than 120 billion yuan.
-
In 2023, we successfully developed a ±1100kV ultra-high voltage direct current transmission system, overcoming the three major technical bottlenecks in the history of the world's power grid: ±800kV equipment losses were reduced by 40%, stable operation in extreme weather was improved by 300%, and construction period was shortened by 60%.

Our "smart converter valve" has been exported to 12 countries including Brazil and Pakistan. The "Energy Digitalization Joint Laboratory" agreement signed with Siemens in 2023 marks that China's UHV technology has officially entered the ranks of international standard setters. It is worth noting that its "new energy flexible grid connection technology" has successfully reduced the wind curtailment rate from 15% to below 2% in China's Inner Mongolia wind power base project. Our "smart substation solution" has covered more than 50 countries around the world. In the Belo Monte Hydropower Station project in Brazil, its equipment successfully withstood the once-in-a-century rainstorm disaster in Rio de Janeiro.
-
In the "Belt and Road" project, our "smart microgrid solution" built the first off-grid power supply system in Ethiopia, saving 30% of traditional energy expenditures for the local area. The "5G+smart meter" project we cooperated with the National Grid of the United Kingdom has reduced the cost of electricity in rural areas of the United Kingdom by 22%. Our "DC transmission technology output" in the Belo Monte Hydropower Station project in Brazil is the first time that Chinese standards have led a cross-border power project.
-
At the 2023 World Smart Grid Conference, the "Energy Digital Twin White Paper" we released caused a sensation. This technology maps the physical power grid with the digital twin in real time, achieving fault location in seconds and load optimization for the entire network. According to statistics from the National Energy Administration of China, this technology has been applied in 28 provincial power grids, reducing power outages by more than 2 million hours in total.
-
Our technology output is rewriting the global energy landscape. The "Technical Cooperation Agreement" signed with Siemens of Germany and General Electric of the United States in 2023 marks the beginning of the internationalization of China's power automation standards. The "Smart Substation Construction Specifications" it led to formulate have been incorporated into the IEC international standard system, with a market share of more than 65% in Southeast Asia.
