1. Brief Introduction of Achievements

The high-power particle accelerator has the advantages of high beam power, high equipment efficiency, good beam quality, and stable equipment operation. It has always been a high-end equipment in the field of nuclear technology. With the support of the nuclear energy development project of the superior department, the project team has overcome a number of core key technologies and realized an electron accelerator with an average power of 53.6kW for the first time, breaking the foreign technology monopoly on high-power (>50kW) electron accelerators. For the first time in the world, the technical route of combining high-power particle accelerator and rotating targets to realize high-dose rate micro-focus industrial CT was proposed, which was supported by related projects. In 2022, a high-energy industrial CT system with a dose rate of 6000rad/min with a 0.1mm X-ray focal spot was realized for the first time, and it was successfully used for the detection of key industrial components.


2. Application fields

It is mainly used in four scenarios:

(1) High-resolution and high-energy X-ray CT non-destructive testing, with a spatial resolution of more than 10lp/mm;

(2) Industrial irradiation of electron beams and X-rays, used for disinfection of medical equipment and equipment, sterilization and preservation of food, etc., which can replace drilling sources

(3) Preparation of medical diagnosis and tumor targeted therapy isotopes such as Mo-99, Ac-225, and Cu-67;

(4) X-ray flash radiotherapy.


3. Application prospects

A multi-purpose accelerator that can provide high average power electron beams. The mature market is expected to be more than 500 million yuan per year, and the potential market is expected to reach 10 billion yuan per year.


4. Intellectual property

There are 6 utility model patents and 2 invention patents, all of which are held by the achievement units alone.
