Brief introduction of the achievement
Passive exoskeleton robot belongs to the new generation of human behavior enhanced intelligent robot equipment. It consists of three exoskeleton robots: upper limbs, waist and lower limbs. It adopts modular and lightweight bionic mechanism design. The three modules can be combined or used independently. It can assist the whole body, enhance human functions, and strengthen limb strength to assist the wearer to complete fast-paced, highly repetitive, and easy-to-fatigue tasks such as welding, grinding, handling, and assembly, reduce fatigue muscle injuries, improve manual work efficiency and quality, extend the working time, and expand the wearer's work range. It can be applied to many labor-intensive industries such as ships, aerospace, vehicles, weapons, and nuclear power.
Compared with similar products, through the design of human-machine integrated passive exoskeleton robot based on biomechanical engineering technology, high-reliability loading/unloading based on multi-mode power adjustment, and human-machine collaborative compliant operation control based on joint motion fusion information, the robot's peak power assistance and endurance performance are effectively improved while reducing its own weight, reaching the international advanced level. Its main technical features are as follows:
① Modular and lightweight bionic mechanism design, divided into three modules: upper limbs, lower limbs, and waist, which can be used in combination or independently;
② Full body assistance, effectively reducing human labor intensity, reducing fatigue muscle damage, and improving manual work efficiency and quality;
③ Flexible use, human-machine collaborative and smooth control, autonomous identification of working status, normal walking, running, up and down stairs, and even driving a forklift;
④ Friendly and easy to use, easy to wear, suitable for people of different heights, body shapes, and genders;
⑤ Ultra-long battery life, one charge can be used normally for more than one week.
Application field
This achievement can assist the wearer to complete fast-paced, high-repetition, and easy-to-fatigue operations such as welding, grinding, handling, and assembly, and can be widely used in labor-intensive industries such as ships, aerospace, vehicles, weapons, and nuclear power.
Market prospects
The current exoskeleton robot market size is around US$192 million, and most of it is concentrated in medical exoskeleton products, but the sales of industrial exoskeletons are growing, and the number of manufacturers is also increasing. The research and development of exoskeleton robots is mainly concentrated in relevant research institutions, and there are very few companies selling mature industrial products on the market. According to ABI Research, a British consulting firm, the overall potential market for exoskeleton robots exceeds 2.6 million sets (excluding the military market), and shipments will increase from 7,000 sets in 2018 to 301,000 sets in 2028. The future demand is strong and the economic benefits are considerable.
Intellectual Property
A number of invention patents have been approved, all of which are held by the achievement units alone.
