1. Brief Introduction of Achievement

The phased array weather radar adopts a one-dimensional waveguide crack digital phased array antenna and a heterogeneous multi-beam fully coherent pulse Doppler system. It has a rich transmission waveform, can receive up to 20 beams at the same time, has an adaptive working mode and fully integrated online automatic testing and calibration capabilities. The radar can monitor the changes of cloud and rain targets within a radius of 450km around the radar station, and quickly and quantitatively measure the intensity, average radial velocity and velocity spectrum width of cloud and rain targets within a range of 200km and below 24km in altitude. It is the main equipment for short-term disastrous weather forecasting. The radar provides aviation hazardous weather identification products such as thunderstorms, downbursts, wind shear and gust fronts, providing timely and accurate hazardous weather information for combat training and meteorological support for new weapons and equipment.
